What to Check Before You Buy

  • Nebulization rate: 0.2 ml/min or more finishes a normal dose in about 8–12 minutes.
  • Particle size: look for 0.5–5 µm (MMAD under 5 µm) so the mist reaches the lungs, not just the throat.
  • Noise level: under 55 dB matters for children and night-time use.
  • Masks included: a child mask and an adult mask; a mouthpiece gives better delivery for adults.
  • Warranty and parts: warranty of 1 to 5 years depending on brand; cups, masks and filters must be easy to get.
